Daniel Aspuru, born in Mexico City in 1978, is a multifaceted artist whose passion and focus have always been linked to music. With a career spanning more than 20 years in the national art scene, Daniel has distinguished himself as a performer of piano, saxophones, drums, bass clarinet and tabla. His skill and talent have led him to perform all over the world, both solo and with his bands, El Gabinete and Nine Rain.

But Daniel's talent is not limited to musical performance. He is also an inventor by nature, and his work includes the Wind Transducer, a pneumatic and electronic musical instrument unique in the world. This fascinating invention has been used in music recordings for films, albums and concerts, showing his ability to merge technology and music into a unique sound experience.

Throughout his career, Daniel has participated in prominent events and festivals, such as the Primer Piano Day in Mexico, the Time Zones Festival in Bari, Italy, the House Der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, Germany, and the White Nights Festival in Perm, Russia, among others. These performances have left a mark on his artistic path, expanding his recognition internationally.

Regarding his discography, Daniel has released 12 albums, some of them published on international labels. His solo works stand out, such as "Música para asistente", as well as his collaborations with El Gabinete on albums such as "Estado Agéntico" and "X aniversario". In addition, he has been part of musical projects such as Nine Rain and has participated in recordings of soundtracks for films, such as "Oblatos, el vuelo que Surcó la Noche".

His talent has also extended to the theater, where he has created original music for plays such as "Conferencia sobre la lluvia", "Mi papá está en la Atlántida" and "The Arrival", among other theatrical productions.

Recognized for his musical ability and unique artistic approach, Daniel has been the recipient of special grants and support, including the 2024 Fomento a Proyectos y Coinversiones Culturales (SACPC), the 2022 Encuentro Nacional de las Artes (FONCA), and the Jóvenes Creadores (FONCA) grant in 2004.

With a career in constant evolution, Daniel Aspuru continues to explore new musical frontiers and leave his mark on the artistic scene with his creativity, versatility, and passion for music.
